The boutique Miami firm was ranked in Band 1 in the area of Real Estate: Zoning/Land use Law – Florida, the highest recognition given by Chambers. Only six other firms in Florida placed at the top in this specialty area.

In addition, firm co-founder and managing partner, Jeffrey Bercow, was also ranked in the top tier of his specialty, zoning and land use law.

Chambers USA annually ranks U.S. law firms and individual attorneys based on in-depth telephone interviews with law firm clients and other attorneys. For more than 20 years Chamber has published independent and objective research-based directories of the legal profession. Inclusion in the guide is based solely on the research team’s findings.

–Successfully represented Homestead-Miami Speedway, LLC, a wholly owned affiliate of International Speedway Corporation, in its quest to add 12,000 new seats and 120 acres of land and to implement a new master plan.

–Obtained land use approvals for a 68-acre parcel of land located between two regional malls in Miami-Dade County, for 800,000 square feet of retail space, 1050 residential units, 400 hotel rooms and 250,000 square feet of office space; and then subsequently modified entitlements to relax timelines and obligations.

–Representation of CG Miami River, LLC, in the due diligence, acquisition, stakeholder outreach, land use, zoning and permitting of the Miami River Special Area Plan, a 10-acre mixed use development on the Miami River in the urban core of the City of Miami.

–Represented Marriott Hotels and Ian Schrager as co-developers of the boutique hotel concept known as The Edition, at the former Seville Hotel, a three- acre oceanfront parcel in the middle of Miami Beach. Representation involved several dozen hearings before various City of Miami Beach boards and agencies in order to obtain necessary project approvals.

–Obtained approvals for Integra Investments, LLC for ParkSquare Aventura, a mixed-use development on a 7.5 acre site in Aventura, Florida. When complete the project will have approximately 650,000 square feet of floor area, with hotel, residential condominium, office, medical office, specialty retail, quality restaurant and assisted living facility components.
