Maritza Haro Salgado Named Firm Partner

Miami, January 30, 2023– Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes, award-winning Miami boutique law firm specializing in land use, zoning and environmental law, is pleased to announce that Maritza Haro Salgado has been promoted to Partner of the firm.

Maritza’s practice covers land use and zoning matters throughout Miami-Dade County including the City of Miami, Hialeah, Homestead and the Town of Bay Harbor Islands. Maritza represents developers, institutional clients and individual landowners with all phases of development from initial due diligence to entitlement, permitting and administrative appeals.

Maritza is highly knowledgeable and experienced in securing development approvals from local governments, including comprehensive plan amendments, rezonings, warrants, waivers, special exceptions, variances, administrative modifications and platting, for residential, commercial, industrial, office and mixed-use real estate developments. Before joining the firm in 2016, Maritza served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Tanya Brinkley and Judge Jose Rodriguez in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. In addition, while in law school, she also interned at the City of Miami Attorney’s Office Land Use and Government Division and worked as a certified legal intern in the FIU College of Law Immigrant Children’s Justice Clinic representing and assisting unaccompanied minors obtain immigrant juvenile status.

Maritza is actively involved in several professional organizations and has become an integral part of the Latin Builder’s Association (LBA) Board of Directors where she was named the 2022 Junior Director of the Year. She is also a member of the Cuban American Bar Association.
