A Limited Groundwater Assessment has been submitted to DERM for the former Miami Arena site, where a massive redevelopment is planned.
The assessment supports the approval of drainage plans now in permitting for the project’s first phase, an engineer wrote.
A paving and grading plan shows that Phase 1 will include the easternmost tower, on the corner of North Miami Avenue and NW 8th Street. Phases 2 and 3 were not included in the schematics submitted in May.
In June, plans for three towers were submitted to Miami’s Urban Development Review Board. The board voted 4-0 to recommend approval, with the following conditions:
Three towers are proposed to rise 615 feet, 589 feet, and 577 feet, with the tallest at 54 stories.
