CLIENT NEWS: Murgado Automotive Group Unveils Landmark Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Dealership in Little Havana
June 18, 2025The newest addition to one of the country’s fastest-growing automotive groups has officially opened its doors in Little Havana. Murgado Automotive Group, led by President and CEO Mario Murgado, recently unveiled a state-of-the-art Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership at 701 SW 8th Street, just west of downtown Miami on historic Calle Ocho.
More than seven years in the making, the towering eight-story facility is unlike any other in the region. Designed in collaboration with architect Miguel Yelos San Martin of YSM Design, the 350,000-square-foot building features a ground-floor retail showroom, a multi-level service department, executive offices, expansive vehicle storage, and a rooftop event venue that offers striking views of the Miami skyline and even glimpses of Biscayne Bay.
“This project was a labor of love,” said Murgado. “We’re very excited to bring the latest offerings from Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram to our clients in the Brickell and downtown area. We have incredible vehicles available, and we offer the latest technology and service facilities. Whether a customer wants a high-touch sales experience or prefers our door-to-door, never-set-foot-in-the-dealership model, we can deliver.”
The building includes 74 service bays and space to park more than 700 vehicles. In total, the dealership will employ 107 team members in high-quality automotive sales and service roles. The new facility represents more than a business expansion—it is the culmination of Murgado’s longstanding vision for a true automotive destination. The rooftop, designed to double as an entertainment venue, is envisioned as a unique location for weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings. Inside, plans are underway for a café and a car museum to feature vehicles from Murgado’s collection.
In addition to its core functions, the facility will soon serve as the new corporate headquarters for Murgado Automotive Group. The headquarters includes a full-scale conference center, boardrooms, and executive offices, centralizing the company’s growing operations.
The opening of this dealership marks a return to Murgado’s Little Havana roots. He launched his automotive career in Miami, and his first acquisitions came in 2001 when he purchased Honda, GMC, and Pontiac stores on what has now become the Murgado Automotive Group Miami campus. Since then, Pontiac was replaced by Buick, and the group has expanded rapidly, adding a Mazda dealership and a luxury pre-owned vehicle showroom, all within the same contiguous block.
Murgado’s influence now extends well beyond downtown Miami. Murgado Automotive Group operates a diverse portfolio across several states. In Florida, the company has a strong presence in Miami with Brickell Honda, Mazda, Buick & GMC, Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, Brickell Luxury Motors, and Ocean Cadillac.
Locations in Stuart include Audi, Infiniti, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati Stuart. Murgado Automotive also has Bentley and Maserati Jacksonville.
In Illinois, the dealership group operates Honda Downtown Chicago, Volkswagen Downtown Chicago, Murgado Ford and Lincoln of Chicago, Honda Libertyville, Acura Highland Park, and a suite of luxury brands in Barrington, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Cadillac, Honda, and Infiniti under the Motor Werks umbrella.
Edison New Jersey locations feature Ferrari of Central New Jersey, Bentley Edison, and Maserati of Central New Jersey. In Virginia, the company serves the Richmond area with Mercedes-Benz of Richmond and Mercedes-Benz of Midlothian. Lastly, in California, Murgado Automotive Group maintains operations at Mercedes-Benz of Foothill Ranch and Mercedes-Benz of Laguna Niguel.
