Cecilia is an associate attorney at Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes focusing on land and use and zoning matters.
She earned her Juris Doctor from Florida International University (FIU) College of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude and third in her class. Before law school, Cecilia obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History and Business Management from Manhattanville College. Cecilia was drawn to land use and zoning law because of the tangible impact it has in shaping a city’s history.
In law school, Cecilia honed her legal writing and analytical skills through internships with the Honorable Jose E. Martinez at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Honorable Adalberto Jordan at the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. During her second summer of law school, Cecilia worked as a summer associate at Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes. Cecilia served as the Executive Comments Editor of the FIU Law Review and was a proud member of FIU’s Negotiation and Mediation Team.
Cecilia accumulated various accolades while in law school. She was a recipient of the Dean’s Merit Scholarship and received six CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for obtaining the highest grade in the class.
