Paul is a partner at Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes with significant experience as a local government and appellate attorney.
Paul concentrates his practice on local government matters, inclusive of development approvals, drafting proposed legislation, street and alley closures, historic designation issues, and code enforcement cases. He has considerable experience supporting his clients before local boards and city commissions, as well as advancing their positions before appellate courts. Paul is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in City, County and Local Government Law.
Prior to joining the firm, Paul practiced in the areas of land use, environmental and related appellate litigation, both in the full-service law firm setting and by running his own law practice. Earlier in his career, he served as an intern with the Miami-Dade County Attorney’s Office, Aviation Division, and worked as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Judge David Levy of the Third District Court of Appeal.
Paul completed his legal studies at the University of Miami where he served on the Law Review. Prior to law school, he attended the University of Florida, obtaining a degree in English with a minor in History. In conjunction with his legal practice, Paul prioritizes service to the community. He is a member of Granada Presbyterian Church in Coral Gables and actively supports several community nonprofits including CARE Elementary School serving the Overtown community, and Friends of Coral Gables High.
