In 2007, Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin + Tapanes successfully obtained, on behalf of Florida Power and Light (FPL), a zoning approval from Miami-Dade County for two new nuclear reactors at Florida Power & Light’s existing Turkey Point facility.
We subsequently obtained approval of an amendment to Miami-Dade County’s comprehensive plan, approving a series of temporary construction roads.
In January 2013, we successfully secured “unusual use” approval for two significant ancillary facilities required for cooling water for the new nuclear reactors, a reclaimed water treatment facility, and radial collector wells.
