Plans for a new Brickell Supertall tower called Major have been formally filed with Miami-Dade County Planners.
Major is proposed to rise 1,049 feet above sea level, or 82 stories, according to the newly filed plans. The 1,049-foot height is the maximum that the Federal Aviation Administration has approved for Miami thus far.
Major is proposed to include:
Plans show restaurant space on at least four or five floors, along with event space, wine storage, and a cigar room.
There are three floors dedicated to fitness, sports and wellness, including a spa with a mineral pool and champagne pool, a padel court, boxing area, and F1 and golf simulators.
A club house is also located on floor 35 with its own pool and party room.
The 82nd floor rooftop appears to be private penthouse space, with its own outdoor pool, pool house, lounge, and kitchen.
Studio Sofield is the design consultant, with ODP the architect of record.
JDS is the developer. A disclosure form lists Michael Stern as ultimately controlling 100% of the purchasing entity through a series of LLCs.
