CLIENT NEWS: Office Tower Inspired By The World’s Top Luxury Hotels Launching In Miami

April 23, 2024

Aman, Rosewood, Oetker and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, as many luxury travelers know, are regarded as the top ultra-luxury hotel brands in the world with exquisite rooms, unbending service and amenities that get more over-the-top by the day.

Now, a developer in Miami, Robert Rivani, the founder and CEO of the commercial investment firm Black Lion, has plans to recreate that premier experience but- get this- for the workplace.

“While luxury hospitality buildings push the boundaries of service and experience, office spaces remain conventional and are struggling to attract luxury tenants,” he says. “While I was traveling through Tokyo, Phuket and Paris visiting some of the best hotels in the world, I thought, why can’t I bring this level of hospitality to the office industry?”

The well-traveled, 34-year-old investor is investing more than $110 million to purchase and reimagine a landmark Miami Beach building into what he calls ‘Class X’ – a whole new class of luxury office in Miami Beach that aims to establish elevated benchmarks for amenities, design, technology and hospitality-infused services. He expects to debut it in 2025.

Enter the ‘Rivani,’ a first-of-its-kind office building with features typically reserved for a top five-star hotel.

The styled sanctuary designed by renowned Rockwell Group will tout personalized concierge service, a world-class spa that will make you forget it’s Monday, a Zen meditation room, souped up to the nines gym and salon. Members gain access to a cafe to enjoy their morning matcha, a living room for meetings and gatherings, a podcast room, a Japanese restaurant and speakeasy, plus private event spaces.

“I want to disrupt the industry and cultivate an environment that is genuinely desirable, where people want to be,” says Rivani. “This is the start of an entirely new frontier for how people will experience luxury at the office. The high-end hotel experience at the workplace is here.”
