Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes, an award-winning Miami boutique law firm recognized for its leadership in land use, zoning, and environmental law, is proud to announce the promotion of Nicholas “Nick” Rodriguez-Caballero to Partner.
Nick focuses his practice on land use, zoning, and environmental matters, bringing an interdisciplinary approach informed by his background in environmental science and coastal resilience to help clients navigate complex regulatory and entitlement challenges.
Nick earned his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law, graduating summa cum laude, and concurrently earned a Master’s Degree in Aquatic Environmental Science with a focus on coastal resilience and sea level rise. Prior to law school, he majored in Environmental Science.
During his tenure as an Associate, Nick gained extensive experience across a broad cross-section of land use, zoning, environmental, and related litigation matters throughout Miami-Dade County, including the City of Miami Beach and the City of Miami. Notably, Nick was a key member of the firm team that, alongside Shareholder Michael Larkin, secured the first-ever Live Local Act application approval in the City of Miami Beach, a landmark achievement advancing workforce housing and resiliency policy.
Nick has argued before the Third District Court of Appeal, the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Appellate Division, and the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Civil Division, and has represented clients before numerous quasi-judicial boards and legislative bodies throughout Miami-Dade County. Through his relentless work ethic and commitment to excellence, Nick has demonstrated a rare ability to tackle the most complex land use and zoning challenges. In recognition of his work, Nick was named to the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America® for Environmental Law and Land Use and Zoning Law.
