Maritza Haro Salgado is a partner attorney at Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes, where she focuses on land use and zoning matters across various jurisdictions, including unincorporated Miami-Dade County, the City of Miami, City of Hialeah, City of Sweetwater, and the City of Homestead.

Maritza earned her law degree from Florida International University College of Law. During law school, she gained valuable legal experience through an internship with the City of Miami Attorney’s Office in the Land Use & Transactional Division. She also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Tanya Brinkley and Judge Jose Rodriguez in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. Additionally, she worked as a certified legal intern with the FIU College of Law’s Immigrant Children’s Justice Clinic, representing and assisting unaccompanied minors in obtaining special immigrant juvenile status.

Before law school, Maritza graduated from FIU’s College of Business. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, she founded and successfully ran an event planning company for over six years. Upon graduating from law school, she sold the company to a competitor to fully pursue her passion for business and the law. Maritza is also a licensed real estate agent in the State of Florida.

Deeply committed to her community and profession, Maritza serves on the board of the Latin Builders Association (LBA) and is an active member of the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA). She also contributed her expertise to local governance as a member of the 2024 West Miami Charter Review Board. In recognition of her professional achievements and leadership, Maritza was honored as one of the Women to Watch by the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (MDFAWL) at the MDFAWL 2025 Impact Awards.
