CLIENT NEWS: Utilities Deal Signed For 2,360 Residential Units At Former Miami Arena Site
May 18, 2023The owner of the former Miami Arena site has signed an agreement with the county to supply utilities for a massive new project.
According to the agreement, the project will include:
- 2,360 residential units
- 28,000 square feet of full service restaurant
- 12,500 square feet of retail
The developers will receive a credit for a 16,500-seat sporting facility previously connected to the utilities system to reduce the new connection charge.
The connection charge is estimated at $2,085,466.50. There’s an additional Biscayne Basin Sanitary Sewer Special Connection charge estimated at $1,265,004.
Alex Witkoff signed on behalf of developing entity WG 700 North Miami LLC. The agreement was dated April 27.
In recent months the developer obtained FAA height approval for construction cranes rising 779 feet, and a permanent tower height of 685 feet above ground.
