Lisa Diaz

Lisa Diaz is an associate at Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes, where she focuses her practice on environmental, land use, and zoning matters. She assists clients in navigating complex environmental permitting and regulatory processes, helping advance development projects while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Her practice reflects a strong commitment to balancing responsible development with environmental stewardship.

Lisa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Marine Affairs from the University of Miami, with minors in Biology and Environmental Sciences. Although she initially intended to pursue a career in marine biology, her passion for environmental issues led her to the legal profession, where she found a meaningful way to combine conservation with advocacy.

She received her Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School, along with a Certificate in Environmental Law. As a student attorney with the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic, Lisa represented clients in environmental matters, including challenging proposed rulemaking that threatened the endangered Gulf sturgeon and opposing the permitting of a plastics manufacturing facility in an environmental justice community.

Prior to joining the firm, Lisa practiced at a prominent South Florida law firm focused on environmental and land use matters, where she advised developers and property owners on a range of environmental and real estate matters. Her experience includes counseling clients on state environmental regulations and permitting requirements, with a particular emphasis on matters involving the South Florida Water Management District.

Lisa is an active member of the Florida Bar Environmental and Land Use Law Section, the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, and the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources.

Committed to promoting sustainable communities, Lisa served on the West Palm Beach Sustainability Advisory Committee and is a member of the Leadership West Palm Beach Class of 2025. Her passion for environmental law and thoughtful development continues to shape her practice as she helps clients achieve their goals while protecting Florida’s natural resources.
