Hotel proposed in Brickell area
A Brazilian developer wants to build the Galwn Hotel in the Brickell area.
GW Brickell LLC, managed by Jose Luis Galveas Loureiro, plans to build the 44-story, 454,761-square-foot hotel at 78 S.W. 10th Street. It acquired the 22,770-square-foot site for $26 million in 2015. It’s near Mary Brickell Village and a Metrorail Station.
The hotel would have 520 rooms, 18,072 square feet of conference rooms, 8,900 square feet of retail and 223 parking spaces.
It was designed by Arquitectonica. Attorney Melissa Tapanes Llahues represents the developer.
