Bio

Benjamin is an associate attorney at Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes, specializing in the fields of land use, zoning, and environmental law.

Benjamin earned his Juris Doctor from Florida International University (FIU) College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude and ranked fourth in his class, a testament to his exceptional dedication and legal acumen. Prior to his legal pursuits, Benjamin obtained a Bachelor of Science in Advertising from the University of Florida, showcasing his multidisciplinary approach to education.

During his time in law school, Benjamin’s prowess in legal research and writing earned him the prestigious CALI Excellence for the Future Award for earning the top grade in two of the three required legal research and writing courses at FIU Law. His excellence in this area led to his selection as a Teaching Assistant for the course, where he not only further developed his skills but also guided fellow students in their own legal research and writing journeys.

Benjamin not only excelled academically but also dedicated himself to enhancing his legal capabilities through diverse extracurricular activities. He was an integral member of the Executive Board for the FIU Law Review, serving as an Articles Editor, a role allowed him to contribute his expertise to the legal community while developing a deep understanding of the complexities of the legal field law. In recognition of his outstanding contribution and service to the FIU Law Review, Benjamin was awarded the FIU Law Review Faculty Award. He was also awarded a Medallion of Distinction at the FIU Law Graduation Ceremony for Excellence in Civic Engagement, having completed over 130 hours in Pro Bono service during his time in law school.

Prior to joining our firm, Benjamin also served as a Judicial Intern for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, where he gained valuable legal research and writing experience under the mentorship of a federal judge.
