Bio

Roberto, known as Rob, is an associate attorney at Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes specializing in land use, zoning, and environmental law.

Rob graduated cum laude from Florida State University, majoring in finance with a minor in political science. Rob was a recipient of the Bright Futures Medallion Scholarship and served on the leadership board of Pre-Law Fraternity Phi Alpha Delta. Rob earned his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law, where he graduated cum laude. Rob accumulated several honors in law school, including a Dean’s Scholarship from 2020-2023 and CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Contract Law. He was also conferred FIU Law’s Certificate in Environmental & Natural Resources Law.

During his time in law school, Rob had the privilege of serving as a legal extern for Judge Beth Bloom in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, where he gained firsthand insight into federal court proceedings.

Before law school, Rob gained invaluable experience in policy and government, which has enriched his understanding of the legal landscape. He served as a legislative aide for two separate members of the Florida House of Representatives. His time in this capacity not only honed his understanding of legislative intricacies but also instilled in him a deep appreciation for the intersection of law and governance.

Rob’s impressive educational journey, coupled with his substantial practical experience in both the public and private sectors, make him a well-rounded and highly capable part of our team.
