Dolce&Gabbana and developer JDS unveiled new details and renderings yesterday of a 90-story supertall condo hotel they are planning at 888 Brickell.
The 1,049-foot building will be the tallest in Miami, the developer said. It will feature ivory travertine and matt black steel beams, along with a gold beaded ‘necklace’ towards street level, with Studio Sofield the architect.
Inside the building will be a Grand Lobby with two bars, six food and beverage outlets, a signature restaurant on the ground floor, and a Pool Club restaurant & bar.
The residential lobby will feature black marble and three grand custom-designed Venetian hand-made chandeliers.
The condo hotel will feature 250 rooms and suites. Buyers of residential units will be permitted to place their units in a hotel rental program to earn income, and larger units with more bedrooms will be convertible into smaller rooms with separate entries for more flexibility.
Dolce&Gabbana collaborated with M2Atelier studio to translate the ideas and concepts expressed by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for the interior design of 888 Brickell.
A construction date was not released, but the project has been moving through the planning process. A sales office can be seen under construction around the corner from the development site.
