Emily K. Balter Elected to the Cuban American Bar Association 2022 Board of Directors

Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes is proud to announce that associate, Emily K. Balter, has been elected to serve on the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA) 2022 Board of Directors.

CABA is a non-profit voluntary bar association founded in 1974 by lawyers of Cuban descent. CABA’s members include judges, lawyers, and law students of all backgrounds interested in issues affecting the Cuban community as well as minority communities as a whole.

As an active member of CABA, Emily has dedicated time and resources on many of CABA’s committees. She has worked with the Continuing Legal Education Committee in planning monthly Desayunos and preparing accreditation applications for Continuing Legal Education credits for its members.  As a member of the Art in the Tropics Committee, she assisted with their annual Uncorked event to obtain sponsorship and vendors.  This year, Emily serves as Editor in Chief of CABA Briefs, CABA’s digital and print publication that highlights important legal issues and community leaders as well as events and programing for the association.

As a true testament to her leadership and commitment to CABA, Emily received the Outstanding Committee Member Award in 2019, the Young Lawyer Member of the Year Award in 2020, and most recently the 2021 Outstanding Member Award.  We are proud of Emily’s efforts and accolades, and know her work ethic will be an asset to the 2022 Board of Directors as it is to the firm.
