With extensive experience in municipal law and a dedication to enhancing community development, Dan is well-equipped to provide valuable insights and support to the firm’s diverse clientele.

Dan’s commitment to his work is driven by the understanding that the environments we inhabit are shaped by the interplay between the private sector and public regulations. “I enjoy helping clients navigate complex processes and discovering how enhanced knowledge of a jurisdiction’s rules can unlock additional value to a project,” he said. “It’s a privilege to play a small role in shaping how our community looks, feels, and functions.”

Dan holds a BA in Political Science from Purdue University and a JD from the University of Miami School of Law. His career includes valuable experience with the City of Miami, where he began as a Legislative Aide to a City Commissioner before serving as an Assistant City Attorney for six years. He worked with various departments, including Building and Planning, and served as Zoning Administrator/Director of Zoning for three and a half years, where he interpreted Miami 21 and drafted amendments to improve user-friendliness for single-family homeowners.

Among his notable accomplishments, Dan developed and implemented Waiver Reform at the City of Miami to streamline the development process, allowing more projects to proceed by right. He was instrumental in drafting the implementation memorandum for the City of Miami’s Live Local Act and managed a staff of 30 during these initiatives. Additionally, he drafted ordinances simplifying driveway and parking regulations for single-family homeowners, demonstrating his commitment to community improvement.
