U.S. News – Best Lawyers® Releases 2017 “Best Law Firms” List

(MIAMI) Nov. 21, 2016 – U.S. News & World Report/Best Lawyers has announced its 2017 “Best Law Firms” list and for the seventh straight year, Bercow Radell Fernandez & Larkin was ranked in the top tier in Miami for the land use and zoning specialty. The firm also placed in the second tier in Miami for environmental law.

The magazine’s annual list highlights firms who are recognized by their clients and peers for consistent professional excellence. According to U.S. News & World Report/Best Lawyers, achieving a tiered ranking signals a unique combination of quality law practice and breadth of legal expertise.

For the 2017 “Best Law Firms” list, the methodology for the initiative remained the same as in the previous six years. Clients were asked to provide feedback on firm practice groups, addressing expertise, responsiveness, understanding of a business and its needs, cost-effectiveness, civility, and whether they would refer another client to the firm.

To be eligible for a ranking, a firm must have a lawyer listed in The Best Lawyers in America, which recognizes the top 4 percent of practicing attorneys in the US. In addition to information from these surveys, the rankings incorporate the 7.3 million evaluations of 54,463 individual leading lawyers collected by Best Lawyers in its most recent annual survey.

Ranked firms, presented in tiers, are listed on a national and/or metropolitan scale. Receiving a tier designation reflects the high level of respect a firm has earned among other leading lawyers and clients in the same communities and the same practice areas for their abilities, their professionalism and their integrity.
