Shakeyla Flores Joins Firm as an Associate

Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes is pleased to announce that Shakeyla Flores has joined firm as an Associate. Located in downtown Miami, Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes consistently ranks among the region’s top firms in its specialties.

Shakeyla brings to the firm a significant understanding of various areas of law. During her time in law school at Florida International University, Shakeyla gained valuable legal experience in her position as Research and Teaching Assistant to FIU Professor of Law, Janewa Osei-Tutu, focusing on Contract and Property Law. She also had the honor of working as a law clerk for the Honorable Chris M. McAliley of the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida. Shakeyla joined Bercow Radell Fernandez Larkin & Tapanes as a Summer Associate in 2020, gaining firsthand experience in the ins-and-out of our practice.

Shakeyla is actively involved in various professional organizations including the American Bar Association and the Amicus Committee for the International Cannabis Bar Association (INCBA). Shakeyla also co-founded and served as President of FIU Law’s Marijuana Law Education Society and served as Vice President of Coaching on FIU Law’s Negotiation and Mediation Team. Attesting to her commitment to her community, she received the Medal of Distinction in Pro Bono Service from FIU Law for completing over 130 hours of pro bono legal services.
