Braman Motors, led by billionaire Norman Braman, has filed plans for its property in Miami to facilitate both expansion of the dealership and potential residential development. After riding out the Covid-19 pandemic, Finvarb Group has broken ground on the Thompson Hotel in South Beach thanks to a $22.3 million construction loan. Coral Gables-based Banesco USA provided the mortgage to SoBe Center LLC, managed by Ronald J. Finvarb of Bay Harbor Islands-based Finvarb Group. A developer assembled a North Miami Beach development site for $14.12 million, with plans to build a 28-story apartment project. In the bigger deal, NMBPlace LLC, managed by Victor F. A major project is expected to begin construction in Edgewater in 2023, developer Aimco told investors.
