CLIENT NEWS: Building Permit For 893-Unit Worldcenter Apartment Tower Gets Update

December 19, 2023

A construction permit for an apartment tower at Miami Worldcenter has been updated.

The December 1 update is for the folio number and address. It now correctly lists the former Miami Arena site as the construction address.

According to the permit, a 52-story tower is planned to be built, with:

  • 893 multi-family (rental) units
  • 17,188 square feet of retail

Coastal Construction is listed as the contractor.

As of this morning, the full construction plans haven’t been filed, so review is not yet underway.

According to a June UDRB filing, three towers are planned on the property in phases, with a combined 2,346 residential units, 30,535 square feet commercial, and 2,078 parking spaces. The towers will range in height from 52 to 53 stories.
